* Exact date not verified from passport or other records.
** One day trip back to Boston during this period for a meeting.
There were so many trips that they are hard to recall. I have relied on the
passports which I kept, and my computer files, which are recent, and also
on financial records kept by the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.
There are several possible sources of omissions: (1) trips to Canada, Mexico,
and the British Virgin Islands which don't require a passport, (2) the Soviet
Union rarely stamps passports, so my record of trips there and to other
places at the time is from memory, (3) a missing passport because it was stolen
probably in 1972, since the replacement was issued in July 1972.
There were three trips to the British Virgin Islands in the 1970s, of which I
have no record, to visit Prof. Edward Fredkin of MIT and to attend a Board of
Directors meeting of Information International, Inc. I also recall attending
dthe World's Fair in Montreal in the l960s, whenever it was. There have also
been various trip to Mexican border towns of Tijuana, Juarez, and Matadero.
